Overview
September Cafe is looking for hard working line and prep cooks to join our team! Looking for someone with medium level experience (1-3 years). September is a busy cafe serving lunch and brunch. A fun atmosphere with people who respect each other. Tips are shared. The position is full time (36+ hours a week), and weekend availability is a must.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in accordance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and sanitation




- Support the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen to meet health department standards

Experience

- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal presentation
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and proper food handling practices
- Experience with meal preparation in a fast-paced setting is advantageous
- Strong understanding of the food industry standards for quality, hygiene, and safety
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
