We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable personnel to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our accounts payable function. This position involves a high level of responsibility, attention to detail, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
The AP Personnel works out of our corporate office in Edmonton, and reports to the Financial Controller.
Accounts Payable
- Full cycle accounts payable processing, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payment documents, including purchase orders and expense reports
- Ensure that invoices are entered efficiently, accurately and in conformance to Company approval and coding standards.
- creating payment journals and preparing cheques,
- Reconcile supplier statements and respond to vendor and employee enquires in a knowledgeable and timely manner.
· Generating accurate AP aging and status reports
· Set up new vendor account on the system
· Processing non-PO and PO invoices
· Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure seamless integration of accounts payable processes with broader organizational functions.
· Reconcile expense reports and credit card statements
· Provide support to the Finance team as required
Qualification
· High school diploma, GED,
or equivalent required additional education in accounting or finance is a plus
· 2-3 years previous accounts payable experience required
· Computer competency with Proficiency in Advanced MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions
· Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a financial or accounting environment
· Proficiency with MS Office applications
