Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Handle cash register transactions using POS systems such as Micros POS, accurately processing payments and managing cash handling procedures
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food prep area, dining space, and equipment to uphold food safety standards
- Support food preparation tasks including assembling snacks or light meals as needed
- Manage time efficiently during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards
- Follow food handling protocols and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe setting for staff and customers
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or customer service experience demonstrating excellent hospitality
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Square POS, for efficient cashiering
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Good basic math skills for cash handling, order processing, and inventory management
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, positive attitude towards customers and team members
- Proven time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
