Fire Sprinkler Technician – Job Description and Qualifications - Licensed

We are seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Technician to install, inspect, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fire sprinkler and standpipe systems in commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.

Responsibilities include:

- Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on wet, dry, pre-action, and standpipe systems.
- Install and replace sprinkler heads, valves, piping, supervisory devices, and related equipment.
- Identify system deficiencies and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Complete service reports and inspection documentation accurately.
- Follow applicable fire codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, and other trades.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles.

Qualifications:

- A valid Ontario 427A Sprinkler and Fire Protection Installer Certificate of Qualification is required.




- Previous experience working with fire sprinkler and standpipe systems.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Fire Code, Ontario Building Code, and applicable NFPA standards.
- Ability to read drawings, specifications, and system layouts.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable, professional, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting equipment and working from ladders or at height
