Summary
Rick’s Good Eats is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The Prep Cook plays a vital role in supporting daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food is prepped according to our quality and safety standards. Ideal candidates are organized, efficient, and have a passion for food and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for service
- Follow prep lists and station setup procedures accurately and efficiently
- Assist with cooking and assembling dishes as directed by kitchen leads or chefs
- Label, date, and properly store all food items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area, storage, and equipment
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries
- Minimize food waste and report any quality or inventory issues
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Support catering and event prep as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in a prep cook or kitchen support role preferred
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food safety procedures
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Passion for cooking and eagerness to learn new techniques.
