Career Contacts is supporting our client, a well-established commercial construction leader, in the search for a Construction Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for a seasoned construction leader who enjoys owning a project end-to-end, from budget handover through field execution to closeout. Reporting to the Construction Director, the successful candidate will bring 10+ years of construction management and field operations experience.
Start Date: Immediately
Hours: Monday - Friday

What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Lead budget handover meetings, ensuring project budgets, assumptions, scope, and expectations are clearly understood by project and field teams
- Monitor financial performance including margins, cost projections, earned revenue, and billing
- Identify financial risks early and implement corrective actions to protect profitability
- Oversee customer contracts, including scope alignment, change orders, and dispute resolution
- Ensure customer commitments are met and remove project constraints/roadblocks in a timely manner
- Oversee manpower and work planning, crew assignments, dispatching, and field scheduling
- Ensure superintendents, supervisors, and foremen accurately report production and weekly work plans
- Maintain robust communication between field crews, project managers, customers, and leadership
- Promote a strong safety culture across field teams, supervisors, and subcontractors
- Lead or support root cause analysis for field issues, safety concerns, or recurring operational problems
- Support adoption of technology tools for field reporting, scheduling, and cost forecasting
- Standardize reporting practices to improve visibility into project performance
What You'll Bring:
- 10+ years of experience in construction management, field operations, or project management
- Strong understanding of commercial construction operations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial management
- Proven ability to lead Superintendents, Supervisors, Foremen, and field personnel
- Experience managing project budgets, labour planning, scheduling, and customer expectations
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, change orders,
and cost control
- Demonstrated ability to identify risks and make sound operational/financial decisions
- Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills with field teams, clients, and senior leadership
- Preferred: experience implementing process improvements and construction technology; proficiency with scheduling and financial tracking software
