Looking for motivated and experienced 2D motion designers! As a Freelance 2D Motion Designer at Float4, you’ll have the opportunity to craft dynamic and visually compelling motion graphics across various digital platforms. Collaborate with top talent to push creative boundaries and produce unparalleled content for events, interactive installations, and more.

Float4 is looking for freelance artists with robust experience in multimedia production and a good eye for design for upcoming projects in 2024-2025. The 2D Motion Designer is working under the supervision of senior members of the creative team. They are responsible for the execution of dynamic and visually stunning motion graphics that align with the project vision. They work closely with the creative team to create sequences and assets for a variety of digital media, including permanent installations, events, shows and other.

- Responsibilities

- Animate 2D graphics to produce high-quality motion content
- Provide robust quality and consistency of work across deliverables




- Manage tasks on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality motion graphics
- Collaborate with team members to integrate feedback and find solutions
- Adhere to brand guidelines and project briefs and specs while fostering innovative approaches to enhance and expand quality
- Collaborate with developers and integrators to integrate motion into the final display
- Communicate task status to your team to ensure deadlines are met and any roadblocks are addressed

- Required Qualifications and Skills

- DEC or BA in design, motion, animation or a related field
- Proven experience as a Motion Designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your motion graphics work
- Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, and composition
- Experience working with and editing to music
- Experience with industry software (After Effects, Deadline, Premiere, Creative Suite, etc.)
- Experience working in non-traditional formats such a immersive environments and large display formats
- Skills in traditional animation are a plus
- Familiarity with project management tools like Asana and Shotgrid
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
