About the Role
The Waterloo Siskins are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Equipment Manager for the upcoming GOHL season. As a vital member of our hockey operations team, you will be responsible for managing all hockey equipment, locker room logistics, and game-day preparation to ensure our players and coaching staff operate at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance: Manage, repair, and maintain player gear, jerseys, and team equipment.
- Skate Sharpening & Maintenance: Provide accurate skate sharpening, profiling, and quick repairs during practices and games.
- Locker Room Setup: Oversee locker room setup, tear-down, and cleanliness for all home games, road trips, and practice sessions.
- Inventory Control: Track gear, apparel, and operational supplies throughout the season.
- Game-Day Logistics: Load,
transport, and unload team equipment for away games; handle laundry and post-game recovery of gear.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in hockey operations, equipment management, or rink operations preferred.
- Proficient in skate sharpening techniques and equipment repair.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
- Flexible schedule: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel with the team for away games.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $300.00-$500.00 per month
Work Location: In person
