Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman / Service Technician to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing general repairs, maintenance tasks, service calls, and emergency responses across our residential and commercial properties. This role requires a hands-on problem-solver who can work independently, communicate well with tenants, and ensure properties are safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

- Respond promptly to emergency calls and urgent repair requests
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks across properties
- Handle general repairs: minor plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, drywall, plaster, tiling, vinyl floors, and painting.
- Help with bringing in material and supplies
- Carry out small renovation projects and unit turnovers
- Communicate professionally with tenants and property managers
- Clean and prepare vacant units for new occupancy
- Purchase necessary materials and manage inventory of supplies
- Maintain tools and work areas in safe, clean condition




- Document work performed and report issues requiring further attention
- Comfortable using cell phone applications , technology and software for work logging.

Qualifications:

- General knowledge and hands-on experience with plumbing, basic electrical work, tiling, painting, plastering, and general repairs
- Must be reliable, honest, and able to work independently
- Positive and professional attitude with strong tenant service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple service requests
- Must own a set of basic tools
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (car or truck)
- Availability to respond to after-hours emergencies on a rotating schedule

Preferred:

- Prior experience in property maintenance or building services or renovation
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
