Basic Grain Products Inc. is an established snack food manufacturer with over 30 years of experience in the food industry. Our manufacturing plant is located in Coldwater, Ohio, while our Head Office is located in Burnaby, BC, just a short walk from Production Way–University SkyTrain Station.

We are seeking a highly organized Logistics Coordinator to join our Burnaby Head Office team and coordinate the daily flow of inbound and outbound shipments between customers, carriers, suppliers, and our Ohio manufacturing operation.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role with significant responsibility and visibility across the business. For a strong performer, the position offers a fast-track opportunity for increased responsibility and advancement into management.

Qualifications & Skills

- Ideally 4 -5 years of logistics, supply chain, transportation, or related coordination experience; food manufacturing or distribution experience preferred.
- Strong carrier negotiation, freight quoting, and rate-comparison skills.
- Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple shipments and daily deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/inventory systems; SYSPRO experience is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in supply chain, business, or a related field is an asset but not required with relevant experience.




- Comfortable coordinating between our Burnaby Head Office and Coldwater, Ohio manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities

- Process customer orders and confirm quantities, availability, and pricing.
- Source and negotiate freight quotes and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
- Schedule carrier pickups and delivery appointments.
- Monitor inventory, product availability, buffer stock, and short shipments.
- Maintain finished-goods inventory accuracy within the ERP system.
- Prepare picking slips and shipping documentation.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding delays and availability changes.
- Resolve shipping issues with carriers, suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- Maintain shipping nonconformance records.
- Prepare logistics documentation for third-party audits and mock recalls.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
