Location: Slemon Park, PEI
Salary: $70,000 - $95,000
Our client is a leading aerospace manufacturing organization specializing in the design and production of advanced coatings and surface protection solutions for gas turbine engines. Their innovative technologies support major aerospace partners around the world while contributing to improved efficiency, reduced emissions, and a more sustainable future.
As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Finance Team in Slemon Park, PEI. This is an excellent chance for an accounting skilled who enjoys a hands-on role, process improvement, and being a key contributor within a collaborative manufacturing
environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including financial statements and management reporting packages.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
- Prepare funding applications and assist with government grant claim reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
- Support external audits by preparing schedules, reports, and required documentation.
- Assist with tax filings, government reporting, and other compliance requirements.
- Provide support across payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting functions.
- Participate in ERP system maintenance and ongoing process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support both financial and operational objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation or active progress toward CPA designation is considered an asset.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and experience with financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations.
- Experience working with ERP systems is considered an asset.
- Experience with government funding or grant reporting is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
