Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Golf Shop Attendant to provide exceptional customer service at The Rise. The ideal candidate will assist guests with retail purchases, manage sales transactions, and ensure the shop maintains an organized and welcoming environment. This role requires solid communication skills, proficiency with POS systems, and a passion for delivering a positive experience to all visitors. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are a plus, as the attendant may oversee daily shop operations and assist with product demonstrations. The Golf Shop Attendant plays a vital role in enhancing guest satisfaction and supporting retail sales efforts.
Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems efficiently for retail sales, cash handling, and transactions
- Assist customers with product inquiries, upselling golf accessories, apparel, and equipment
- Conduct product demos to educate guests about merchandise features and benefits
- Maintain proper merchandising by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring inventory accuracy
- Manage shop cleanliness and organization to create an inviting shopping environment
- Provide excellent customer service through friendly communication and phone etiquette
- Manage daily tee sheet with bookings and check in for tee times
- Assist with pace of play monitoring
- Support supervising staff in daily shop operations when needed
- Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and merchandising updates
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in a golf shop or grocery store setting
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math skills. Knowledge of Lightspeed is an asset
- Supervising experience is advantageous for overseeing daily shop activities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers courteously over the phone and in person
- Experience in upselling products and conducting product demos to enhance sales performance
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently
