Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Heavy Forklift Operator / Shipper & Receiver to join their team in a fast-paced industrial environment. This hands-on position combines forklift operation, shipping and receiving, inventory management, and general shop support. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling heavy machinery and materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring products are loaded and shipped safely and efficiently.

Job Location: Stoney Creek, ON

Job Type: Full-time, permanent direct hire

Compensation: $25.00 an hour – overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular rate

Shift Structure: Day shift – Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Standard overtime required on alternate weekends (paid at 1.5x the regular rate) + extended health/dental and vision coverage + RRSP match & more!

Key Responsibilities:

· Operate heavy-capacity forklifts to move machinery, equipment, and materials safely throughout the facility

· Load and unload trucks while ensuring loads are properly balanced and secured for transport

· Perform shipping and receiving duties, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments

· Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct inventory counts as required

· Organize and store materials efficiently within the warehouse and shop areas

· Assist with general shop duties and material handling activities

· Read and interpret measuring devices,



including tape measures, to verify dimensions and specifications

· Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment

· Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures

Requirements/Qualifications:

· Previous experience operating heavy forklifts in an industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse environment

· Shipping and receiving experience

· Solid inventory control and material handling experience

· Ability to accurately count inventory and complete related documentation

· Ability to read and use a tape measure

· Knowledge of safe loading and unloading practices

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Reliable, dependable, and safety-focused

· Flexibility to work overtime as required

Desired Skills/Preferred Experience:

· Experience handling oversized equipment, machinery, or heavy materials

· Valid forklift certification considered an asset

· Experience with inventory management systems

· Manufacturing or industrial experience

· Strong problem-solving and communication skills
