Job Description

The Marketing Representative position is a part-time, neighbourhoods-based role whose responsibility is to be an ambassador for our exterior cleaning company while prospecting for self-generated door-knocking leads from homeowners at their homes. The available shifts are 3-4 hours during weekday evenings and weekend mornings.

It's an important position as the Marketing Representative is, quite often, the first awareness homeowners have about our company.

What does a typical day look like?

The General Manager provides vetted areas for where the Representative will be knocking. The Representative will then drive to the neighbourhood they will be doing. The neighbourhoods include Greater Victoria, so west to Langford, north to Swartz Bay and east to Oak Bay. During the shift, the Representative will keep track of the streets they have done, so houses aren’t knocked twice. The Representative will wear appropriate footwear for walking between houses. When a lead is acquired, it will be input into a customer relationship management software app called Jobber. The goal of the Representative is to get as much information as possible from the homeowner for the quote. The information needed is name, phone number, email, address,



and services they’d like quoted. If a homeowner is interested, it is the Representative’s responsibility to show assertiveness and get a quote started. Since the Representative is communicating with the client at their home, being respectful and friendly is very important. Once the lead is inputted into Jobber, the Representative moves on to the next house to continue door-knocking. Once the lead is acquired, it is handed off to our General Manager to provide the quote. A Marketing Representative is not responsible for providing the quote.

Training

Our General Manager provides hands-on, in-the-field, comprehensive training. We believe proper training is key to setting up a Marketing Representative for success.

Compensation

- $22/hour starting wage + $5 bonus/lead. A lead is a homeowner providing their personal information and exterior cleaning services they're interested in that will turn into a quote for the work provided by our General Manager.

There are ways to grow within the Marketing Representative role, such as increased responsibility for sales opportunities by creating quotes for exterior cleaning services such as roof moss removal, gutter cleaning, exterior window cleaning and pressure washing areas like driveways, sidewalks and back patios.
