**Job Title: Cleaner**

**Job Description**

The cleaner helps keep a busy warehouse safe, tidy, and well organized by handling cardboard disposal, maintaining clear work areas, and supporting general warehouse operations such as picking, packing, and putaways.

**Responsibilities**

+ Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of debris throughout the shift.
+ Operate the box crusher safely to dispose of cardboard and packaging materials.
+ Sweep warehouse floors and common areas to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
+ Break down pallets and remove empty or excess materials from work areas.
+ Support warehouse operations by assisting with picking, packing, and putaway tasks as needed.
+ Use an RF scan gun to accurately pick orders and complete inventory-related tasks.
+ Lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
+ Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines while working around equipment and forklifts.
+ Work collaboratively with warehouse workers, office staff, and forklift operators to keep operations running smoothly.

**Essential Skills**

+ 1+ years of experience using an RF scan gun for order picking, packing, and putaways.
+ 1+ years of experience in roles involving heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
+ Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment such as a box crusher after training.
+ Capability to perform physical work including sweeping, pallet breakdown, and material handling for the duration of the shift.
+ Strong attention to detail when picking, packing, and organizing warehouse inventory.
+ Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a busy warehouse environment.
+ Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled first-shift hours on Tuesdays and Fridays.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience working in an e-commerce warehouse environment is an asset.
+ Forklift experience is a nice-to-have and may support broader warehouse responsibilities.
+ Comfort working in a fast-paced warehouse during peak periods such as August and September.
+ Willingness to learn additional warehouse processes and support various operational tasks as needed.

**Work Environment**





This role is based in a larger warehouse located in the southeast area of Calgary, working alongside warehouse workers, office staff, and forklift operators.

The facility becomes especially busy in August and September as the team picks and packs parts.

The position follows a first-shift schedule, working 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays to start.

The dress code is casual, with steel-toed boots and a safety vest required for safety on the warehouse floor.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
