We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join a growing civil infrastructure and construction team working on municipal and commercial projects throughout Manitoba.
Responsibilities
Heavy Equipment Operator duties include, but are not limited to:
- Operate various types of heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, and dozers.
- Transport heavy equipment to and from job sites.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Maintain accurate equipment usage and maintenance records.
- Assist with general construction and site-related tasks as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
- Experience with GPS/Machine Control systems is considered an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a construction environment.
- Road construction experience is preferred.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake endorsement is considered an asset.
- Ability to work extended hours (10-12 hours per day) in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design drawings, and construction plans.
- Solid communication skills with the ability to report job site conditions and activities effectively.
