Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Sushi Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Duties

- Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry
- Follow established recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality
- Handle all aspects of food preparation, including slicing fish, assembling rolls, and garnishing plates
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredients and notifying management of supply needs
- Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed at all times to prevent cross-contamination




- Support the team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple orders while maintaining quality

Skills

- Proven experience in food preparation, especially in sushi or Japanese cuisine
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Excellent skills in serving customers with professionalism and positive attitude
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment used for sushi preparation such as knives, rice cookers, and refrigeration units
- Experience in meal preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry best practices
- Positive communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and management
