We are currently looking for a Dispatch Planner for our Hagersville location. Planners are responsible for the day to day movement of the fleet and work very closely with customers to coordinate and manage freight requirements, organize and assign the loads and update the system with all required load information. The Planner will work with the other divisions to help maximize utilization and customers to determine rates and availability of trucks. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work hand-in-hand with our customers to manage and organize their freight requirements, determine details of the load, and meet deadlines
- Maximize equipment utilization and efficiency
- Be aware of specific trailer/truck/driver restrictions and capabilities
- Assign loads to trucks and monitor progress

Skills and Qualifications:





- Must have solid foundation and understanding of the transportation industry and the rules and regulations including Hours Of Service and Log requirements
- Must have solid organizational skills and communication skills
- Problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Job task planning and organizing especially as these change and need to be re-organized frequently
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to multi-task
- Must have an understanding of computers, strong typing skills and be proficient in Excel and Word.
