Temporary Full Time

The Scheduling Clerk is responsible for maintaining staff scheduling and coverage, managing timekeeping and payroll, and communicating scheduling changes with leadership while ensuring compliance with Long-Term Care legislation, collective agreements and labour laws.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

· Receives and processes requests for vacancy coverage,

· Allocates and calls in relief staff to fill vacancies,

· Works closely with other departments to identify staffing gaps

· Maintains records of staff - names, addresses, phone numbers, availability for work,

· Oversees staffing systems - current schedules, orientation schedules, casual rosters, seniority lists,

· Regulatory compliance with LTC regulations, collective agreements

· Respectful communication with staff and leadership

· Maintaining data and reports

Qualifications:

· 2-3 years of scheduling experience. Preferably in a healthcare setting

· Exceptional organizational skills

· ·Problem solving

· Experience creating Master schedules

· Working with unionized employees

· Staff Schedule Care (SSC) experience preferred

· ADP experience preferred

· Proficiency in Microsoft platforms (Excel,



Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.)

· Proof of full immunization (2 doses) against COVID-19, in accordance with the Ontario Ministry of Long-Term Care's Long-term care home COVID-19 immunization policy.

· A Criminal Records and Vulnerable Sector Screening check to the satisfaction King Nursing
