Position Summary and Requirements:
The Weekend Fitness Centre Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing weekend fitness centre operations, supporting students using the centre and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment during weekend hours. The incumbent of the role will handle student inquiries, ensure student safety and equipment cleanliness. This role will oversee facility opening / closing procedures, monitor the fitness area and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
Typical Schedule:
- Saturdays and Sundays 1:00 - 5:30 pm throughout the academic year
- Additional hours may become available through the academic year
Ideal Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous fitness centre experience is not required, but is an asset
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field is an asset
- 2+years experience in customer service and/or recreation
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Moderate technical literacy is required and experience with Google Suite is preferred
- Previous experience supervising youth is a strong asset
Compensation: This is a part-time hourly role at $18.50/hour.
This is a new position and will be a 10-month contract from September 2026 - June 2027.
