Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant/Receivable Manager to join our financial team. This role is vital in managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, precision, and a proactive approach to overseeing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and utilizing advanced accounting software to support our organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and payment processing using accounting software such as QuickBooks and in house software
- Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy across all financial records.
- Generate reports as needed
- Oversee accounts payable processes, verifying invoices, coding expenses correctly, and ensuring timely payments.
- Utilize data entry skills to maintain precise financial records and update customer accounts regularly.
- Conduct thorough account analysis to identify discrepancies or overdue balances and develop effective strategies for resolution through negotiation and customer service.
- Reconcile discrepancies between different accounting systems like PeopleSoft and other financial services platforms.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly via phone or email while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
- Analyze financial data to generate reports that support decision-making and improve cash flow management.
- Collaborate with internal teams on bookkeeping tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Support audit preparations by maintaining organized documentation of all receivable transactions.
- Assist other administration staff as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Post-secondary education in office administration, Certified Professional Bookkeeper or Registered Professional Accountant.
- Experience in data entry, administration, or a similar clerical role is required
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use formulas and functions (e.g. IF, VLOOKUP), create and manage pivot tables and filter, sort and validate data
- Strong overall computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with using QuickBooks desktop is required.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- Ability to complete repetitive tasks with accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to work independently in an office-based environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with English
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
