Commercial & Industrial Environment - Various Locations
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Ironworker/Arc Welder to join our team and contribute to the construction of structural steel, and other metal components. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your expertise in welding, and mechanical assembly. The ideal candidate will be motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to apply their technical skills in a fast-paced environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, precision, and quality of all metal fabrication and installation tasks.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble and install metal structures.
- Perform various welding to join steel components with precision and strength.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools,
- Measure materials and perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate fabrication dimensions.
- Assemble structural steel frameworks, or other metal assemblies according to project specifications.
- Maintain a clean work environment by following safety protocols and inspecting equipment regularly for proper operation.
Experience
- Must have 2-3 + years exp.
Welder Trade Red Seal Certification
- Level Three Apprenticeship may apply
- Required - WHMIS Cert. Fall Arrest Protection Training.
- Basic security check. Willing to travel to various job sites
- Valid Driver's License is required. Vehicle supplied by Employer
- Proven experience in construction and/or manufacturing environments involving structural steel.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, schematics reading, and assembly processes.
- Skilled in ARC welding techniques, certification preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience with forklifts, hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills required for measurement accuracy.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to welding, working at heights is highly desirable.
