Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Roller Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy compaction equipment to ensure the proper finishing of surfaces in paving, concrete, and other construction projects. This role requires a solid understanding of mechanical systems and experience with various types of construction machinery. The Roller Operator plays a vital part in delivering high-quality results on time and within safety standards.

Responsibilities

- Operate vibratory rollers and other heavy compaction equipment to achieve optimal surface density and smoothness.
- Assist with paving, concrete forming, and finishing tasks as needed to support project completion.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations.




- Assist in the setup and breakdown of work zones, including moving materials and preparing surfaces for compaction.

Requirements

- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as rollers, loaders, excavators, or similar machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Construction experience, particularly in paving, concrete forming, or related fields, is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles if required for transporting equipment or materials.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites and the ability to follow them diligently.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid licensing or certification for heavy equipment operation is preferred but not mandatory depending on project requirements.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
