Duties
- Assist with food preparation and cooking to ensure timely delivery of meals during weekends
- Serve meals to residents or guests with friendly, attentive customer service
- Handle food safely by following proper sanitation and hygiene protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and trash disposal
- Support meal plating and presentation to meet quality standards
- Manage time effectively to ensure all meal components are ready on schedule
- Follow all food handling regulations and safety procedures to uphold health standards
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices
- Experience in food service or kitchen environments demonstrating strong hygiene habits
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a busy kitchen setting
- Basic understanding of cleaning and sanitation procedures in food handling environments
- Reliable availability on weekends with flexibility to work during designated shifts
