INFINITEK is partnering with a well-established industrial manufacturing operation to recruit a Mechanical Engineer / Technician for its papermill in Kapuskasing, Ontario.

What You'll Be Doing...
As a key member of the Manufacturing Services team, you will:
- Lead root cause investigations and implement effective engineering solutions.
- Manage and support mechanical engineering projects from concept through completion.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and operating costs.
- Prepare and deliver capital projects in accordance with engineering standards and financial controls.
- Recommend equipment upgrades and spare parts to improve plant performance.
- Support maintenance and operational teams with technical expertise.
- Ensure engineering and construction activities comply with internal procedures and environmental regulations.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture throughout the facility.
- Foster positive working relationships within a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Participate in weekend duty coverage when required.
What They're Looking For:
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma (or equivalent).
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience managing engineering or capital projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility is considered an asset.
- French language skills are an asset but not essential.
