As a Sandblaster at Concord Concrete Pumps Ltd, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing surfaces of various materials through the use of sandblasting techniques. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a robust focus on safety. You will work with various types of equipment to ensure that all projects are completed to specification and quality standards.
Duties
- Operate sandblasting equipment to clean, smooth, and finish surfaces of metals, concrete, wood, and other materials.
- Ensure proper preparation and setup of sandblasting machines and materials.
- Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure quality and uniformity.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of sandblasting equipment.
- Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety while operating machinery.
- Keep accurate records of materials used, work performed, and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with the team to meet production deadlines and specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a sandblaster or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of sandblasting techniques and equipment.
- Experience working in industrial or construction environments.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in the sandblasting industry.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications are a plus.
