Our projects range from residential and commercial construction to industrial maintenance, engineered fabrication, and design-build projects on a smaller scale.

- Shop/Plants- small building additions and 2nd floor steel work
- Mobile welding and field services

We are a custom fabrication shop—not a production welding shop. Every project is different, so we are looking for individuals with real custom fabrication experience who take pride in producing quality workmanship.

Position Overview

We’re currently looking for an experienced motivated Welder/Fitter-iron worker to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong fitting and welding experience in the shop and field steel installations and can read and interpret fabrication drawings, and produces clean, accurate welds with attention to detail.

At times you will be leading a team and are a motivated individual with a sense of urgency to get work done to meet our demanding schedules.

Key Responsibilities

- You are a hands-on motivated leader of small crews expanding your leadership abilities and be part of expanding our capabilities




- Field structural steel erections and steel installations of what we build
- In shop custom fabrication and welding of miscellaneous metals and structural steel
- Read and interpret fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Cut, prepare, fit, fabricate, and weld steel components to specified tolerances.
- Perform GMAW (MIG), FCAW (Flux Core), and SMAW (Stick) welding.
- Work with plate, sheet metal, and structural steel members.
- Assist and collaborate with team members to complete projects.
- Maintain high-quality standards and attention to detail throughout fabrication.
- Safely operate fabrication equipment and shop tools.
- Participate in field installations and perform on-site welding when required.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet production schedules.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Able to work occasional weekends
- Overtime when necessary if a project is behind

Qualifications

- Minimum 5–15 years of proven experience in a custom fabrication and welding environment
- Minimum 5–15 years of proven experience in Field structural steel erections and metal work listed above installed in customers plants or on sites
- Crane and rigging experience
- Elevated Work Platform (MEWP/Scissor Lift/Boom Lift/telehandler experience
- Strong experience reading fabrication drawings and weld details.
- Excellent fitting and fabrication skills.
- Proficient in GMAW (MIG), FCAW (Flux Core), and SMAW (Stick) welding.




- Experience with aluminum and stainless steel is considered an asset but is not required.
- Positive attitude, robust work ethic, and a sense of urgency.
- Attendance is very important to meet our tight deadlines
- Takes pride in producing quality workmanship.
- Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Required Certifications

- Current CWB certifications for GMAW and FCAW.
- CWB SMAW 4G certification or actively working toward certification.
- Working at Heights certificate.
- Elevated Work Platform (MEWP/Scissor Lift/Boom Lift/telehandler) certification.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence and ability to drive company vehicles when needed
- Reliable transportation.
- Must reside within approximately a 45-minute commute of Guelph.
- Currently a resident of Canada of 10 years
