$19.00/hr to start · Path to $25.00/hr

Daytime hours - the shop closes at 6pm (5pm Sundays) and we are closed Tuesdays. No late nights.

Cultivate is a tasting room and shop for rare tea, matcha, and ceramics, sourced directly from small producers across China, Taiwan, and Japan since 2014. We are looking for someone to join our team on Main Street.

This role is customer-facing first. You are the face of Cultivate to every person who walks through the door - greeting customers, making tea recommendations, preparing matcha, tea, and matcha lattes, and guiding people through our collection. During quieter stretches, you'll support the team with packing and restocking. You'll always be working alongside another team member.

Customer service or hospitality experience is preferred. We are looking for someone with warmth, presence, and the ability to read a room.

Training takes about two months. You don't need to be a tea expert - we'll teach you that. What matters most is curiosity, professionalism, and a genuine desire to learn. There is a clear path from this role toward hosting tea tastings and a supervisor position for the right person.

Pay and growth

Starting pay is $19/hr, with raises tied to what you can do - not how long you've been here.



There is a clear path to $25/hr. Team members also receive a health spending account covering dental, vision, and paramedical care.

Day-to-day

- Helping customers and making tea recommendations
- Preparing matcha, tea, and matcha lattes
- Restocking and maintaining the shop floor
- Supporting packing during quieter stretches
- Opening and closing the shop

As you develop

- Deep product knowledge across our collection
- Hosting tea tastings
- Supervisor responsibilities

Who this is for

Someone with a genuine interest in tea and real warmth with people. You don't need to be a tea expert, but you should care. You enjoy helping customers, are eager to learn, and are equally happy pitching in with operational work when the shop is quiet.
