General Maintenance Technician/Handyman

Location: Toronto

Crystal Mechanical Inc. is looking for a skilled and dependable contractor for a general maintenance technician/handyman to help maintain facilities across Toronto Region. If you enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and taking pride in keeping spaces in top shape—this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

- Handle general building repairs: light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, doors/locks, flooring, and fixtures.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks and routine repairs.
- Respond quickly to service calls and emergency issues.
- Assist with seasonal upkeep like snow/ice clearing and small exterior repairs.
- Work with licensed trades for larger jobs (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
- Keep accurate records of work completed.
- Follow strict health & safety standards—safety is our top priority.

What We’re Looking For

- 3+ years of experience in maintenance, handyman, or building services.
- Solid skills across basic trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
- A problem-solver who can troubleshoot and get things fixed right the first time.
- Valid G driver’s license with a clean record (travel across York Region required).




- Comfortable working independently and on an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
- Bonus points if you’ve worked in schools, healthcare, or child-focused environments.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $17.99-$30.53 per hour
