Overview

The Production Technician, Soldering, Spray Painting & Calibration plays a key role in ensuring our fire detection products meet the highest quality and performance standards before reaching our customers. This position is responsible for calibrating heat detectors, performing precision soldering and spray painting, and supporting a variety of production activities to meet daily manufacturing requirements.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands on work, takes pride in precision and quality, and can work independently while contributing to a collaborative, fast paced production environment. While calibration is the primary responsibility, all team members are cross trained across multiple production stations to support operational flexibility and continuous improvement.

The Role





· Calibrate heat detectors and other production components to ensure 100% compliance with quality and performance standards before final testing.

· Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust calibration and testing equipment using precise measurement values.

· Perform precision soldering of electronic components and wiring according to engineering specifications and work instructions.

· Prepare, mask, and spray paint components while maintaining consistent finish quality and meeting production standards.

· Inspect completed work to verify product quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.

· Assemble and preassemble production components and sub-assemblies.

· Safely operate pneumatic tools, testing equipment, and other production machinery.

· Follow detailed work instructions, manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.

· Identify and immediately communicate equipment issues, product defects, or non-conformances to the Operations Lead.

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and workplace safety.

· Cross train and perform work in other production areas as required, including:

o Light assembly

o Screen printing

o Pick and pack

· Additional production support functions

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

· Support team members and contribute to achieving daily production, quality, and delivery targets.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Experience in manufacturing or production environments preferred.

· Experience with soldering and spray painting is considered a robust asset.

· Ability to read and interpret precise measurement values and make equipment adjustments as required.

· Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.

· Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and production equipment safely.





· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining accountable and dependable.

· Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

· Willingness to learn multiple production processes and work across different stations as business needs require.

Working Schedule:

Monday to Thursday: 7AM – 4PM

- Two paid 15 mins breaks

- One unpaid 30 min lunch break

Friday : 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

- One paid 15 mins break

Working Conditions

· Fast paced manufacturing environment.
