Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly responsible Set Medic with Lifeguard Certification to join our production team for TV and film projects. This vital role ensures the safety and well-being of cast and crew during scenes involving water or aquatic environments. As a Set Medic, you will be the first responder in case of emergencies, providing immediate medical assistance while maintaining a safe working environment. Your expertise in swimming and physical fitness will help you swiftly address any incidents on set, ensuring smooth production operations while prioritizing health and safety.

Responsibilities

- Provide immediate first aid and emergency medical care to cast and crew members during filming, especially in water-related scenes
- Monitor water scenes closely to identify potential hazards and prevent accidents before they occur
- Assist with set safety protocols, including supervising water safety equipment and ensuring adherence to safety guidelines
- Collaborate with directors, stunt coordinators, and other crew members to coordinate safe filming practices involving water or physical stunts
- Maintain clear communication with emergency services if urgent medical attention is required
- Conduct regular safety inspections of aquatic sets, equipment, and surrounding areas to identify risks




- Keep detailed records of incidents, treatments administered, and safety checks for compliance and review purposes

Requirements

- Valid Lifeguard Certification from a recognized authority, demonstrating proficiency in water rescue and CPR/AED skills
- Licensed medical qualified as RPN, RN, PCP, ACP, EMR.
- Proven experience as a Set Medic or in a similar emergency response role within the entertainment industry or related fields is preferred.
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues efficiently under pressure
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling medical supplies, equipment, or assisting injured individuals
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with diverse team members on set
- Ability to stay calm and act decisively during high-pressure situations
- Flexibility to work long hours on set, often in outdoor or physically demanding environments
