Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as a Lumber Sales Clerk with responsibilities in Shipping & Receiving. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with customers, handling building materials, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in the yard and store. Monday to Friday. 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with product selection, orders, and sales transactions.
- Load and unload lumber, building materials, and other products.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
- Ensure orders are pulled and prepared correctly for pickup or delivery.
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
- Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail, sales, or lumber/building materials experience an asset (training provided).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy materials (up to 40 lbs).
- Basic computer and point-of-sale knowledge.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team setting.
