Flamingo Drilling is looking for drillers helpers and fifth men for remote camp work in Western Canada.
Work is on a 4 weeks in 2 weeks out schedule, 12 hour shifts. (Either day or night shift)
Responsibilities
Support drillers by preparing and maintaining drilling equipment and tools, ensuring everything is ready for operation.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of drilling sites, including helicopter moves and heavy equipment moves.
Operate machinery safely to transport equipment and materials around the site.
Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a secure work environment for all team members.
Help with drilling operations, including checking fluid and fuel levels, emptying core tubes, marking core, and moving drill rods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote efficiency and safety standards.
Support the team with general labor duties such as moving supplies, assisting with inspections,
and other tasks as needed.
Skills
Robust mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand equipment functions and troubleshooting techniques.
Previous experience in the oil & gas or mining industry.
Valid forklift level 1 first aid and transportation endorsement.
Valid Drivers license.
Ability to lift 70lbs repeatedly.
Knowledge of drilling techniques is beneficial but not mandatory; on site training will be provided if needed.
