We are seeking a dedicated AZ Driver to join our dynamic transportation team! As an AZ Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment, perform automotive repairs when needed, and contribute to the efficient movement of goods. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly while providing exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment to transport freight over short and long distances.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and other heavy machinery, ensuring proper handling and securement of freight.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, identifying maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Perform minor automotive repairs and troubleshooting to maintain vehicle safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and freight records for compliance purposes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers,
warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies during operations.
Qualifications
- Valid AZ (or equivalent) commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment in a logistics or warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshooting as needed.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to safety and customer service.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks regularly.
