As our Maintenance Coordinator, your main focus will be coordinating maintenance requests and supporting the efficient operation of our residential properties. You will work with tenants, maintenance staff, property managers, and contractors to ensure repairs are scheduled, completed promptly, and properly documented.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving, reviewing, and prioritizing maintenance requests;
- Creating, assigning, and updating work orders;
- Scheduling maintenance staff and outside contractors;
- Communicating repair details and updates to tenants;
- Following up on outstanding work orders;
- Coordinating emergency maintenance requests when required;
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation;
- Obtaining quotes and arranging specialized services;
- Supporting preventative maintenance schedules and inspections;
- Monitoring recurring concerns and reporting them to management;
- Providing professional customer service to tenants;
- Following company policies and health and safety requirements; and
- Completing other related duties within the scope of the role.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Previous experience in maintenance coordination, property management, administration, or a similar role is considered an asset.
- General knowledge of residential property maintenance is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize urgent requests and manage multiple work orders.
- Strong customer service, problem-solving, and record-keeping skills.
- Comfortable using email, scheduling software, and work-order systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work a adaptable schedule when required.
