We are looking for prep cooks and dishwashers for our client in Stouffville area.
Our ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment and have a willingness to learn.
This is a full-time position. Must have your own transportation as there is no transit access.
Job Duties:
- Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy
- Create meals according to plan.
- Prepares foods to the specifications of the client.
- Prepares food before the arrival of guests.
- Assist in the dishwashing area when required
- Makes adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns.
- Seasons food according to recipes or company needs
- Operates various kitchen appliances.
- Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on client preference.
- Assists other cooks during the food assembly process.
- Estimates expected food consumption and organize preparation
- Prepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins
Requirements:
- Speak English,
Read English, Write English
- 1+ years’ experience as a prep cook in a full-service setting
- Previous experience working in a resort an asset
- Must be flexible in shift timings
- Must be willing and able to work weekends
- Maintain a skilled appearance at all times
- Strong communication skills
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Excellent attention to detail and well developed organizational skills
- Strong work ethic with an ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
