Lead Climbing Arborist

Position Overview

The Lead Climbing Arborist directs the climbing crew, oversees the completion of tree work, and ensures work is carried out safely and efficiently. The responsibilities of a Lead Climbing Arborist include, but are not limited to:

· Preparing the crew and necessary equipment for the workday

· Ensuring work is conducted safely

· Pruning, removing, and cabling trees of all sizes

Qualifications

· Completion of an Arboriculture diploma program and/or equivalent field experience

o ISA Certification or MTCU Qualification an asset

· G driver’s license with a clean abstract (DZ license an asset)





· Minimum 3 years climbing experience in arboriculture

· Proficient in rigging techniques

· Tree and shrub identification

· Experience as a lead climbing arborist or crew leader an asset

· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
