Position Summary:

The Automotive Parts Buyer & Relationship Manager is responsible for developing and managing relationships with automotive recyclers, salvage yards, dismantlers, repair facilities, insurance partners, auctions, and other suppliers throughout Atlantic Canada.

The primary focus of this role is to identify opportunities to purchase quality recycled automotive parts and establish long-term supplier relationships.

The successful candidate will also possess strong technical knowledge of automotive parts and be capable of accurately identifying, evaluating, and coding parts to support inventory management and maximize value.

This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with automotive recyclers, salvage yards, dismantlers, repair facilities, auctions, dealerships, and other industry partners.

- Travel regularly throughout Atlantic Canada to meet with suppliers, identify purchasing opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships.





- Source and purchase quality recycled automotive parts that support business growth and profitability.

- Negotiate pricing, purchasing agreements, and supply arrangements while building mutually beneficial partnerships.

- Become a trusted industry contact through regular communication, responsiveness, and exceptional customer service.

- Identify new suppliers and business opportunities to expand the company’s purchasing network.

- Accurately identify, evaluate, and code automotive parts using industry inventory systems and catalogues.

- Work closely with operations to coordinate inventory flow and ensure purchased parts are processed efficiently.

- Monitor industry trends, market pricing, and emerging opportunities within the automotive recycling sector.

- Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and activity reports.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Experience in automotive recycling, automotive parts, salvage operations, or a related automotive industry.

- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle components and automotive parts identification.

- Experience using automotive parts inventory or coding software is an asset.

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain robust customer relationships.

- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while managing a travel schedule.

- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout Atlantic Canada.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Working Conditions:

- Extensive travel throughout Atlantic Canada.

- Combination of office work, customer visits, automotive recycling facilities, warehouses, and outdoor environments.

- Occasional lifting and inspection of automotive parts.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. With Flexibility outside of these hours when necessary
