Safa & Marwa is a private not-for profit Islamic School in its 29th year of operation located in central Mississauga. Safa & Marwa School is registered by the Ontario Ministry of Education and we offer a fully accredited program from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dependable Supply Teachers for the current academic year. Supply Teachers play an important role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment by providing instructional coverage during teacher absences. Successful candidates may be assigned to various grade levels and subject areas and are expected to follow lesson plans, manage the classroom effectively, and support the academic and personal development of students while upholding the school's Islamic values.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lessons and supervise students based on the classroom teacher's lesson plans.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom workplace.
- Follow school policies, procedures,
and classroom routines.
- Promote positive student behaviour and classroom management.
- Supervise students during assigned duties, as required.
- Communicate any significant student concerns or incidents to the school administration.
- Complete attendance and other required documentation during the assignment.
- Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to different classrooms and grade levels.
- Uphold and model the Islamic values and mission of Safa & Marwa School.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) required.
- Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum and current instructional practices.
- Previous teaching experience is considered an asset but is not required.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Islamic faith and practices.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with administrators and school staff.
- Flexibility to teach different grades and subject areas as needed.
- A current Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one before employment).
