Due to increased demand, Top Lift Enterprises Inc. is currently seeking qualified Chassis/Trailer Technicians for the afternoon shift: 3:30pm to 12am, responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the chassis in Intermodal railyards. We also do government regulated safety inspections and preventive maintenance.

WHAT WE NEED:

· Inspection diagnosis and repair of trailers through preventative and scheduled maintenance, trailer frames electrical systems; landing gear assemblies and trailer bodies; suspensions systems; tires; wheels; hubs and axles; air and auxiliary systems; braking systems; heating and refrigeration systems; roof repairs; hitching/coupling systems; as well as ventilation devices.

· Thoroughly inspecting trailer mechanisms, ensuring that the trailer is safe and reliable for operations.

· Preventative maintenance on trailer and mechanical parts.

· Testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications.

· Troubleshooting and able to look at mechanical, electrical systems, identify problems, and think about and perform possible solutions.

· Familiar with electronics, and able to read blueprints, or use electronic diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot repairs.

· Effectively communicate with supervisor on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements.

· Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe facility, following company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.

· Complete detailed inspection reports to record problems and work performed.





· Ability to perform repairs in different environmental settings, such as in repair shop or outside in the yard.

· Ensure maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely manner.

WHAT WE REQUIRE:

· Commercial vehicle inspection license preferred.

· Must have own tools.

. Must be a licensed Journeyman

. CVIP Certification

· Must be a team player.

· Must have a positive attitude.

· Must follow direction.

· Must have a clean drivers abstract.

· Ability to work weekends would be considered an asset.

WHAT WE OFFER:

· Competitive hourly rate, depending on experience.

· Working inside (shop) and outside when needed.

· 40 hours per week. (afternoon shift - 3:30pm to 12am)
