Position: Housing Support Worker position

Term: Full Time & Casual

Starting date: ASAP

Hourly Rate: $26.74/hr.

Qualifications: The applicant will preferably have, as a minimum their Human Service Worker Program or related education or Residential Support experience.

Job Description:

· Provide emotional support

· Build trusting relationship

· Link guests/clients to resources

· Work from a harm reduction model

· Organize and distribute food as needed

· Supporting guests/clients with reminders of appointments, and visiting services

· Ensure guest/client abides by program rules

· May do initial intakes

· May create a protected use plan with guest/client

· Works as a team member and works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team





· Regularly cleans workspace according to Covid-19 procedures

· May inspect rooms when vacated

· Maintain working relationship with hotel owner, staff, and security personnel

· Facilitate good relationship between guest/client and hotel staff

· Record daily communications (shift notes and staff communication)
