Overview

We are seeking a agile and engaging News Presenter and Producer with a strong command of Bengali language to join our vibrant news team. In this role, you will be the voice that informs, educates, and captivates our audience through compelling news delivery and innovative production. Your energetic approach will help us deliver timely, accurate, and engaging news content that resonates with diverse viewers. Duties

- Present live or recorded news segments in Bengali confidently, maintaining a professional and energetic on-air presence.
- Conduct studio and remote interviews, and host podcasts and roundtable discussions with analysts, public figures, and community guests.
- Research current events thoroughly to ensure accurate and comprehensive news coverage, and produce content schedule end to end: propose stories, script segments, arrange guests, and see each piece through to publication.
- Write clear, concise scripts for news stories, ensuring factual accuracy and engaging storytelling.
- Proofread and copy edit scripts and news content to uphold high standards of clarity, grammar, and style.
- Collaborate with producers and editors to plan newscasts, select stories, and determine the best presentation approach.
- Conduct interviews with newsmakers, experts,



or witnesses to gather firsthand information for reports.
- Review and verify all content for accuracy before broadcast or publication, adhering to journalistic ethics and standards.
- Work with the video editor on cut-downs, thumbnails, and the short-form clips drawn from each recording

Qualifications

- Bilingual proficiency in Bengali and English is highly preferred; excellent communication skills in both languages are essential.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives quickly under tight deadlines.
- Proven experience in news presenting or producing, ideally within a broadcast or digital media environment, or on-camera presenting ability, demonstrated by a showreel or broadcast samples.
- Exceptional proofreading and copy editing skills to ensure error-free content delivery.
- Demonstrated research skills to gather accurate information from credible sources efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- A passion for journalism, storytelling, and delivering impactful news that informs and engages audiences.
- A showreel or on-camera demo is required; applications without one will not be considered
