About the Role

This is not a “chairside-only” position.

As a Dental Assistant, you play a key role in:

- Creating a seamless patient experience
- Keeping the clinical schedule running efficiently
- Supporting the dentist with precision and preparation

You are the connection between the patient, the dentist, and the front desk, ensuring every visit flows smoothly from start to finish.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Patient Experience

- Welcome, seat, and dismiss patients with professionalism and warmth
- Build rapport, educate, and support patients throughout their visit
- Review consent forms and post-op instructions clearly
- Escort patients to the front desk and ensure smooth handoff

Clinical Support

- Prepare operatories and tray setups for all procedures
- Assist using four-handed dentistry
- Take digital X-rays, scans (iTero), impressions, and photos
- Enter treatment and clinical notes inOryx
- Prepare dental materials and support procedures efficiently

Organization & Systems

- Maintain clean, fully stocked operatories at all times




- Follow sterilization protocols (Steri-Tracker) and IPAC standards
- Manage inventory and track supplies accurately
- Perform end-of-day duties (lines, sterilization, operatory reset)

Workflow & Communication

- Set procedures to “Complete” in Oryx to support front desk flow
- Communicate clearly with both clinical and administrative teams
- Prepare for each day by reviewing patient charts and procedures

Key Expectations

- Consistently contribute to an efficient, on-time schedule
- Participate in patient engagement (including requesting reviews)
- Perform scans based on clinical protocols

What We’re Looking For

- Dental Assisting Certificate - Level II
- NDAEB certification (or working toward it)
- HARP certification
- 7–12 months of dental assisting experience (or strong clinical training)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and professionalism with patients
