CWHC is a large medical facility situated in downtown Toronto servicing multicultural and diverse groups, including the LGBTQ community. The CWHC team includes 8 medical doctors, a physician assistant, 2 F/T nurses, a lab technician and 4 administrative staff. CWHC is committed to diversity and equal opportunity.

Our clinic is searching for a full-time Medical Administrative Assistant who has experience in a fast paced multi-physician medical clinic. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of medical terminology and exercise considerable judgement, independence and decision making to undertake administrative duties in support of professional/ medical personnel. The candidate must be team orientated and able to respond to urgent requirements that arise in a medical clinic.

Duties Include:

- Ensuring patient interface runs smoothly such as arranging appointments for patients, check in patients on arrival etc.;
- Scanning documents,



faxing referrals and other responsibilities delegated by physicians, physician assistant, nurses or management;
- Responding to enquiries/ messages from patients and medical team in a timely manner;
- Other administrative duties as required.

Experience:

- Diploma in Medical Receptionist;
- Ideally 2+ years of experience in a medical office serving multiple physicians;
- Strong computer skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience working with PS Suites Electronic Medical Records;
- OHIP billing experience.
