Lead Social Worker / Social Work Supervisor

Location: Scarborough, ON
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour-$27.00/hour
Job Type: Full-Time | In office
Hours: Approximately 35 hours/week

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and leadership-oriented Social Worker to provide clinical leadership, team supervision, and program oversight within residential and community-based programs. The successful candidate will support youth and individuals in care while guiding staff, overseeing care planning, and ensuring consistent delivery of client-centred and trauma-informed services.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and guidance to Social Work and support staff.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and review of individualized care and intervention plans.
- Provide counselling, crisis intervention, and clinical support to youth and individuals in care.
- Guide staff in behaviour management, trauma-informed practices, and effective intervention strategies.
- Lead and support individual and group programming.
- Monitor service quality, documentation, and compliance with organizational policies and legislation.
- Collaborate with families, schools, clinical teams, community partners, and other stakeholders.
- Support staff development, coaching, training, and performance improvement.
- Assist with critical incidents, crisis response,



and debriefing.
- Provide oversight and support for Day Treatment programming.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and assist with operational needs as required.

Requirements

- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or equivalent.
- Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
- Previous experience working with youth, preferably in residential, community, or mental health settings.
- Demonstrated leadership, supervision, and team-management experience.
- Knowledge of mental health, substance use, trauma-informed care, and CYFSA is an asset.
- Strong communication, documentation, conflict-resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Class G Driver’s Licence, clean abstract, and reliable transportation.
- Current Police Check & Vulnerable Sector Search within 6 months.
- First Aid & CPR certification.
- CPI/Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification is an asset.

Pay: $26.00-$27.00 per hour
