Program and Position Summary:

The Peer Resource Navigator will provide basic reception and peer-based support for the Health Collaboration project in an Ottawa Community Housing (OCH) community. The Peer Resource Navigator is an individual who shares mutual experiences with the people who will be supporting in this program. They will engage with individuals to build a quality working rapport, provide information, improve access to services and resources.

Main Duties

Promote community wellness by providing open, judgement-free reception and support services

· Welcome tenants and provide general information on clinic services, and guide them to the Medical Administrator

· The Peer Resource Navigator will be connecting tenants to appropriate internal and community-based resource such as income support and social services

· Support tenants with form completion (ex. health card/OHIP application, consent and registration forms)

· Collaborate with project partners, OCH staff, community partners, and other Options Housing team members

· Communicate information that could affect the safety and well-being of tenants and staff upon direction of Options Housing staff or the Coordinator

· Participate in regular team meetings





· Support the Health Collaboration program through data collection and record keeping

Pay: $27.06-$29.56 per hour
