As part of the growth of our activities with major players in the energy sector, we are seeking a Director Consulting Expert, Service Delivery to provide leadership, drive growth, and advance our business practice within the energy industry.
In this role, you will act as a trusted leader and advisor to clients, teams, partners, and internal stakeholders. Your future duties and responsibilities
Energy Practice Leadership
- Provide leadership within the Sherbrooke office by contributing to the growth, positioning, and evolution of CGI's service offering dedicated to the energy sector
- Drive the evolution and continuous improvement of business practices, methods, and approaches related to energy processes (asset management, supply chain, customer experience)
- Represent CGI's Energy Practice with regional clients, partners, and business communities throughout the Eastern Townships
Service Delivery and Business Consulting
- Oversee end-to-end service delivery for major transformation programs within energy-sector clients
- Ensure quality, business value, and client satisfaction objectives are achieved during operational process redesign initiatives
- Manage engagements, risks, business issues, and change management activities associated with large-scale industry transformations
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, business analysts, and technology teams to ensure integrated delivery aligned with operational realities
Client Relationship Management and Business Development
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with energy-sector clients, acting as a strategic advisor
- Understand client business priorities (decarbonization, energy efficiency, regulatory compliance) and propose business solutions aligned with these objectives
- Lead strategic business development activities,
including presentations, business discovery workshops, and executive meetings
- Contribute to RFP responses, transformation strategies, and financial business models
- Demonstrated experience coordinating distributed teams to develop and write winning proposal responses
Financial Management and Governance
- Accountable for achieving the business and strategic objectives of the client portfolio
- Manage revenue, margins, forecasting, budgets, and profitability of consulting engagements
- Ensure rigorous governance with executive client stakeholders through proactive management of strategic decisions
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and engage a multidisciplinary team of consultants and business analysts in Sherbrooke and across other locations
- Oversee talent management activities, including career development, goal setting, and mentoring of practice experts
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment rooted in the local community and focused on value creation
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
- Significant experience in a leadership role within consulting services, organizational transformation, or practice management
- Strong industry expertise with demonstrated experience managing large-scale engagements in the energy sector (hydroelectricity, renewable energy, natural gas distribution, etc.)
- Proven ability to manage complex engagements and optimize critical business processes (e.g., physical asset lifecycle management, pricing, subscriber/customer service)
- Strong financial management skills, including revenue management, margins, budgeting, and portfolio management
- Strong business acumen and the ability to develop trusted relationships with executive stakeholders
- Strong ties to, or willingness to become actively involved in, the Sherbrooke/Eastern Townships business ecosystem
- Knowledge of energy-sector regulatory and environmental standards in Quebec and Canada is considered an asset
- Experience in organizational change management is considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English (spoken and written) are required to interact with stakeholders across Canada

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 95 000$ et 180 000$. This role is an existing vacancy.
