Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance
- Use computer programs, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Conduct minor welding repairs to restore equipment integrity and safety standards
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and industrial equipment safely and efficiently during repair procedures
- Conduct heavy lifting using appropriate equipment to handle large components or machinery parts
- Perform safety inspections and complete all associated repairs
Requirements
- Valid Journeyperson certification in Truck/Transport or equivalent mechanical trade qualification
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or inspections
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to service manager or team members
- Be familiar with writing up work order details and ordering parts form the parts department
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and industrial machinery maintenance procedures
- Knowledge of welding techniques and electrical troubleshooting is an asset
- Class 1A or 3A is an asset
