Production Assistant

Old Soul Soap Company Inc. – Hanmer, ON

Old Soul Soap Company is looking for a dependable Production Assistant to join our manufacturing team.

This is a permanent, full-time position. Manufacturing experience is an asset, but not required. We provide on-the-job training.

This position is best suited to someone who enjoys hands-on, physical work and takes pride in producing quality products.

Responsibilities

- Manufacture, package and label bath & body products
- Prepare, move and store raw materials and finished goods
- Clean production equipment and work areas
- Follow production procedures, quality standards and safety practices
- Maintain a clean and organized production environment
- Perform other general production duties as required

Job Requirements

- Able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 kg (55 lb)
- Comfortable performing repetitive manual tasks
- Comfortable working around cosmetic ingredients, fragrances and manufacturing chemicals, including sodium hydroxide (lye)
- Able to work in an environment where fragrances are present throughout the workday
- Reliable, punctual and detail-oriented
- Legally entitled to work in Canada

Hours

- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Compensation

- Starting wage: $18.00/hour




- $18.50/hour after successful completion of the 3-month probationary period
- $19.00/hour after 6 months
- $20.00/hour after 12 months

Wage increases are based on demonstrated performance, reliability, attendance and competency.

Experience in manufacturing, food production, warehousing, assembly or packaging is considered an asset, but is not required.
