Associated Grocers is seeking experienced Class 1 Owner Operators to provide transportation services out of our Calgary distribution center.
This is an opportunity for professional independent contractors who own and operate their own tractor and are looking for consistent freight, established routes, and the prospect to build a long-term business relationship with a leading grocery distributor.
What You'll Do
- Transport grocery products to customer locations throughout Western Canada
- Safely operate your tractor while hauling company trailers
- Ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining a high level of customer service
- Comply with all regulatory, safety, and Hours of Service requirements
- Complete all required logs and transportation documentation
- Maintain your equipment in a protected and roadworthy condition

Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 Driver's License
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating similar commercial equipment
- Strong safety record
- Acceptable driver's abstract
- Thorough knowledge of transportation regulations and Hours of Service requirements
- Professional communication and customer service skills
Contractor Requirements

- Own or have access to a highway tractor suitable for the work
- Be able to provide proof of ownership, registration, and insurance-related documentation as required
- Maintain your equipment in accordance with applicable safety standards
- Be able to operate as an independent contractor and meet all regulatory requirements associated with running your own business
